PSD earns 11th straight financial reporting award

Hilton Head Public Service District (PSD) has received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association. This is the PSD’s 11th consecutive year receiving the award. It is “the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management,” according to the association. The award is for the PSD’s 2020 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, which can be found on hhpsd.com.

The PSD’s Financial Report was judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its “financial story” and encourage readership of the Financial Report, according to the association.
