HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (September 27, 2012) – Hilton Head Public Service District (PSD) Community & Personnel Relations Manager Pete Nardi has earned the Certified Manager (CM) certification from the Institute of Certified Professional Managers at the James Madison University College of Business in Harrisonburg, Va. Nardi, of Hilton Head Island, joined the PSD in 2004. His duties include public affairs, human resources, and customer project management.
Certified Managers must pass examinations that cover areas such as strategic planning, risk and human resources management, financial management and accounting, value-chain and project management, communications, and leadership. The credential must be retained through annual continuing education credits that are audited by the ICPM.
Hilton Head PSD is the public drinking water, wastewater treatment, and reused water utility serving more than 18,000 customers in the north- and mid-island areas of Hilton Head Island.
