Jerry Cutrer of Hilton Head Plantation was elected to the Board of Commissioners in 2020. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Centenary College of Louisiana and a Master of Professional Accountancy from the University of Texas. He served as Supply Officer of a US Navy destroyer with two combat deployments during the Viet Nam War. A CPA and retired investment banker, Jerry has structured over $1 billion in tax-exempt bond issues. He was a member of the Roswell, Georgia City Council and Executive Director of the Georgia Residential Finance Authority. A resident of Hilton Head Island since 2002, Jerry’s community involvement has included Chairman of the Country Club of Hilton Head Board of Governors; two terms on the Hilton Head Plantation POA Board of Directors; Treasurer, Vice-President and President of the POA; two terms on the Town of Hilton Head Island Board of Zoning Appeals; Vice-Chairman and Chairman of the BZA; and membership on the Town’s US278 Gateway Corridor Committee.
