Ibrahim ‘Abdul-Malik

Ibrahim ‘Abdul-Malik, Born in Williamsburg VA, where he attended public schools. Upon his graduation he attended Thomas Nelson Community College (1975-1977) where he studied Industrial Arts with a concentration in Drafting
He moved to Hilton Head Island in 1977, in that same year he married a Native Islander, Mumtahanah Abdul-Malik, of the Bryan/Chisolm/Williams family tree. Upon his arrival on the Island, he became employed in the Hospitality Industry. Throughout his career, has held every position available in this industry from Server to Club Manager, throughout the SC Low Country region.
Ibrahim currently serves as Imam of Masjid Jihad’s Muslim community, Associate Chair of NAN-Hilton Head, the board of The Gullah Museum of Hilton Head, a member of The Gullah Geechee Taskforce for Cultural Preservation, and an associate of the Native Island Leadership Council.
