Andy Paterno was elected to the Board of Commissioners in May 2022. A native of New York City, he moved to our island from Pittsburgh where he worked for BNY Mellon Bank for more than thirty years. He has lived in Hilton Head Plantation since 2001. He has extensive experience in commercial lending, management and operations and finished his career as a Senior Vice President responsible for Business Banking in Western Pennsylvania. He was an advisory board member of The Pittsburgh High Tech Council and the Duquesne University Small Business Development Center. He received a B.S. degree from Fordham University and served in the U.S. Army as a First Lieutenant from 1968 to 1970. Locally, he is active with Hospice Care of the Lowcountry, St. Francis by the Sea Church and The Country Club of Hilton Head where he is a Board Member and former Board Chairman.
