HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (April 26, 2017) – A Hilton Head Public Service District (PSD) project to install sewer along Spanish Wells Road near the intersection with Marshland Road, and on Oakview Road, will begin Monday, weather permitting. The bike path on Spanish Wells Road in the vicinity of the project will be closed during construction. Drivers are asked to use caution in the work zone and follow all traffic control devices.
The project will involve significant tree removal in the South Carolina Department of Transportation right of way in order to install the sewer. The project and tree removal are permitted by both the S.C. Department of Transportation and the Town of Hilton Head Island.
This work is part of the Town of Hilton Head Island-funded Master Sewer Plan initiative.
