Hilton Head PSD General Manager Pete Nardi recently made an appearance on WHHI-TV’s Hilton Head News to discuss the PSD’s “Wastewater System of the Year” award from the South Carolina Rural Water Association in recognition of the 94% public sewer connection on the north end of the island completed over the past several years, as well as a technique the PSD has been using in the wastewater treatment plant that involves aerating wastewater based on dissolved oxygen content, which also is an energy-saving program.
